Faber Group Β· DZNE Bonn
Open tools, training materials, and networks developed by or affiliated with our group to advance ataxia and movement disorder research.
Open-source pipelines and platforms from our group
WeFa Motion is our platform for sensor-free digital movement assessment. Using markerless motion capture and machine learning, it enables scalable, precise gait and movement analysis for clinical and home-based ataxia monitoring β without wearable sensors.

A fast, reliable deep-learning pipeline for detailed cerebellar sub-segmentation with high anatomical accuracy. Integrated into FastSurfer, it supports clinical and research use on consumer GPU hardware.

Fully automated cerebellum and brainstem segmentation based on the ENIGMA protocol, with integrated quality control. Available as a Docker/Singularity container for easy deployment.
International ataxia research community resources

Initiated by Heike Jacobi and Jennifer Faber, the YII is a platform for scientific exchange, education, and training for young ataxia researchers. It ensures high-quality clinical assessments and fosters collaboration across centres.

Interactive training tool for the Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA). AGI members can apply for access at the DZNE with their membership certificate.
